Located in Tillsonburg, Ontario with a partnered facility in Edmonton, Alberta, Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of high quality frozen food entrees for prominent clients throughout Canada and the United States.
Increased volumes and significant growth in our U.S. customer base have added to our need to strengthen our management team through the addition of a Logistics Manager to handle the import/export of raw ingredients, finished goods export, and third party warehousing.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer located in Tillsonburg, this position will be responsible for carrier processes, such as selection, qualification, and performance evaluation. The ability to effectively negotiate freight rates, services and customs brokerage is a major responsibility of this position. Monitoring and performance of third party warehouses, as well as resolving issues involving logistics, custom brokerage, and customers in the delivery of their products.
While being located in Tillsonburg, Ontario, these responsibilities will extend into our Edmonton facility as well. Occasional travel will be required to successfully accomplish all the tasks at hand.
Candidates must have a post secondary education with 4 year's experience in logistics and warehousing, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the food industry would definitely be an asset. A thorough understanding in the principles of logistics, transportation and warehousing is a must.
The ability to coordinate efforts and improve efficiencies with a commitment to producing quality food products will be keys to success in this leadership role. Experience in Lean Thinking would be a definite asset.
