Located in Tillsonburg, Ontario with a partnered facility in Edmonton, Alberta, Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of high quality frozen food entrees for prominent clients throughout North America.
Increased volumes and significant growth in our customer base have added to our need to strengthen our QA/QC Department. In continuing our commitment to our customers and as a result of an effort to always improve in our measurement of quality, we have an immediate opening for QA/QC Technicians to work closely with our Quality Assurance team to monitor the daily Q.A. functions, HACCP, and SQF procedures and to assist with regulatory functions.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the successful candidate must be a team player with experience in the quality field. Hands-on food safety experience in a food processing operation, particularly a meat or poultry operation is a definite asset. Assisting production with quality concerns and monitoring quality related processes in an industrial food atmosphere are key functions of this position. This position will work closely with our Quality Assurance Technologists who are involved daily with the CFIA, outside auditors, our customers and suppliers. Additionally, assisting the Quality Assurance team with preparation and review of documents for label submissions to CFIA or USDA will be a part of this position. Strong verbal and written communication skills are an essential part of the position given our fast paced and changing work environment.
We are looking for candidates with solid experience in a food processing or food preparation setting with a post-secondary education, preferably in a science field. An individual with strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint), planning and organizational skills will excel in this position. The ability to support line operations and address production issues is a must, as well as adhering to strict CFIA regulations. Coordinating efforts to improve efficiencies as well as having a commitment to producing quality food products will be keys to success. The ability to work varying shifts is a must.
